Material expertise
The right material for every seal.
In sealing technology, materials are worlds apart. From our own compounding facility we provide all essential elastomers — and many special materials. Here you will find an overview of the most important materials and their strengths.
Material overview
Fluoroelastomer (FKM/FPM)
High temperature and media resistance. The standard for demanding applications in the chemical, automotive and industrial sectors.
Perfluoroelastomer
Almost universal chemical resistance at the highest temperatures — for the most extreme operating conditions.
Tetrafluoroethylene-propylene
Outstanding resistance to aggressive media, bases and amines.
Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber
The economical all-rounder: oil- and fuel-resistant, versatile in use.
Hydrogenated nitrile rubber
Higher temperature, wear and ozone resistance than NBR.
Ethylene propylene diene rubber
Resistant to water, hot steam, brake fluid and ozone — ideal for sanitary and outdoor applications.
Silicone rubber
Very broad temperature range and physiological safety — frequently used for pharmaceuticals and food.
Fluorosilicone rubber
Combines the flexibility of silicone with resistance to fuels and mineral oils.
Chloroprene rubber
Good weather, ozone and ageing resistance with a balanced property profile.
Butyl rubber
Very low gas permeability and good damping properties.
Natural rubber
High elasticity, tear strength and good performance at low temperatures.
Polyurethane rubber
Outstanding abrasion, tear propagation and compression strength.
Thermoplastic polyurethane
Robust and abrasion-resistant — versatile in hydraulics and pneumatics.
Polytetrafluoroethylene
Almost universal chemical resistance and very low friction.
